Gaming, Kids used to play around the neighborhood with all the other kids, some few years back but with the advancement of technology, these kids seem to have advanced in terms of their activities too. Instead of playing tag with other kids in the park, most children these days stay in their homes and just sit in front of the computer. Gaming nowadays does not only refer to going out of their homes or go to sleepovers. What is MMO gaming?

In this type of game, one player basically needs to go online and connect with the other players through the internet. The game is named Massively Multiplayer because it allows many people in the game and Online because these people are connected by the internet. Thus, it is named Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming or MMOG or just MMO.
What are the Types of MMO gaming?
MMOGs come in different types and the most common ones are found below.
Alternate Reality Games which is simply known as ARG. ARG is a game that has a real world setting which allows different players to find their way through the game with puzzles, riddles and clues. The ARG is usually fun, educational and informative.

MMO First-Person Shooters or MMOFPS allow multiple players of teams in combat. The players go in teams to fight with other teams. A popular example of this type of MMO is the World War II Online.
MMO Real Time Strategy or the MMORTS. This type of MMO does not have a lot of games released. Almost all games of this type are still under development in the present.
There are many other types of MMO games but the ones above are the most popular in the MMO gaming world. Developments in MMO gaming have gone far as well. Visual and Sound effects have come better in the latest MMOGs. Most effects are even more realistic in the newest types of MMO games and the games allow even a larger scale of players in any part of the world that has access to the internet.
